Vera TerzievaTrauma Recovery Counselor
Vera Terzieva is a Trauma Recovery Counselor and Breathwork Facilitator based in Spain, offering secure online sessions to clients worldwide and in-person sessions on the Costa del Sol.
Her practice is dedicated to supporting adults recovering from Complex PTSD (CPTSD), developmental trauma, and prolonged relational stress. Before fully committing to this work, Vera built a successful career of more than a decade in asset management and finance, advancing to the roles of Board Member and Partner at a private investment platform. She ultimately chose to transition fully into trauma recovery, drawn by a deep commitment to helping people heal.
Vera founded and directed a residential recovery home, where she provided drug and alcohol counseling for many years. This hands-on experience revealed how unresolved trauma consistently underlies addiction, emotional dysregulation, and relational difficulties.
Vera's current specialization focuses on Complex PTSD, nervous system regulation, and somatic (body-based) approaches. Her professional training includes the Certified Clinical Trauma Professional – Level II (CCTP-II) with Dr. Janina Fisher, a leading expert in complex trauma treatment and former instructor at Harvard Medical School. She has also completed comprehensive Breathwork Teacher Training, which she integrates to support safe emotional release and nervous system regulation.
In her sessions, Vera provides a structured, compassionate, and evidence-informed environment. Clients are supported at their own pace to process survival patterns, emotional flashbacks, and inner critic dynamics, while gently rebuilding self-awareness, internal safety, and lasting self-regulation.
